Markets rally again – gaining 120 Points on the DOW

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Today’s gains can be attributed to the news on rebound of housing starts.
Housing starts jumped bout 22% from January which is very good news.
The actual number may be small but the news itself is positive.
Most of the Home builders stocks I have checked are up and the overall sentiment is positive.

Stocks gave up the gains and went in to red

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Once almost gained 150 points, DOW ended up being red.  Looks like there is not enough steam to push the stocks forward.
City group and Bank of America are still in the green; both these stocks are in the most active category.
There are a lot of double digit losers who made the day red.
AIG remained as [...]

Four days in a row market extend the gains.  All three major indexes are in Green for four days.
It is tempting to get in, but I would like to watch and get a clear direction then rushing in.
Looks like after a long time I can dare to log back in to my 401k account and [...]

Stock Fall Again?

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Market is pointing only one direction that is south.

There is news – see south
There is no news – see south

Investors are not confident – sentiment is still week.

We need some kind of catalyst that would boost the investor confidence.  Americans showed lots [...]

Bad week ended with Green for the last day

Friday, March 6th, 2009

A very rough week for any one in the market ended with a net loss about 300 points and ended with a green color. (Not green for the week)  It is kind of good sign so people can be hopping for a better Monday.
